CIC centrally manages the Trend Micro Office Scan Antivirus solution for protecting your PC/Laptop from viruses.

Note: Before installing the Trend micro Office scan Client on PC, at first you have to remove the existing Antivirus.

Steps to remove existing Antivirus:

1. Start > Settings > Control Panel > Left Click on Add or remove Programs > Then select the CA eTrustITM Agent > Click the Remove Button (here, we assume that existing AntiVirus is : CA eTrust).

2. Click On Yes.

3. Click On Ignore(Do not Restart Your PC).

4. Select CA iTechnology iGateway program Then click on Remove.

5. Click Yes

After successful uninstallation of the Antivirus, Reboot your PC and Install Trend Micro Office Scan Client Antivirus.

Steps to Install Trend Micro Office Scan Client Antivirus:

1. Start --- Run [ \\144.16.192.62]

  • User Name -- iitkgpos
  • Password---iit@123

2. For windows XP
Go to "Client Packagers" folder---
Under this folder Double click the file "Office Scan Packager.exe" to automatically install the Antivirus.

3. For Windows Vista /Windows 7/ Windows 8/ windows 8.1/ windows 10
Go to "Client Packagers" folder--- Under this folder Double click "CP04232019.msi" to automatically install the Antivirus.

Then Office Scan Client will be automatically installed to your PC and an Icon will appear on your Task Bar.

4. Update your installed Anti Virus.

A) After installing the Antivirus and an Icon will appear on your Task Bar.

B) Point your Mouse on that Icon Right click on that --- you will find a menu to manage your Antivirus On that Menu you can update on you Antivirus on clicking Update now.

Installation of Trend Micro Office Scan Client Antivirus is finished.

Steps to manually scan your PC drives/folders:

1. Right click on Office Scan Icon on Task Bar -> Then Click on Office Scan Console.

Then Trend Micro Office Scan console will appear.

2. Select the Drive which you want to Scan by clicking on the check box > Then click on Scan Tab.

Then it will scan your Selected Drives.
